Released this June, theBarossa Super 100list of wines is the first regional classification that highlights renowned Barossa wines selling for AUD$100 and above, and Brockenchack is proud to have ourWilliam Frederick Shirazfeature on this list.

This classification has brought together some of the most sought-after wines from the Barossa, celebrating a diverse range of distinguished vineyard sites, rare old vines, generational grape growing families and a commitment to excellence on behalf of the wineries. With over 100 wines featured in the Classification the list represents the depth of collectable wines of distinction being made in Australia’s most famous wine region.

The inaugural launch of Barossa’s Super 100 Classification took place at a gala reception in Shanghai on Saturday 1 June 2019. Launching the Classification, Barossa Grape & Wine Association (BGWA), chief executive James March, said “We are thrilled to be presenting this list of esteemed wines from Barossa in our most valuable export market”.

“The Classification is not an exhaustive list of every wine made in Barossa but represents an opportunity for consumers to navigate towards some of our most valuable and expensive wines.”

However, it is also a place where wine enthusiasts can discover some other emerging wine brands that are quickly garnering international attention.”

“As far as we are aware, no other region from Australia could present such a depth of wines in this price category, making this a standout opportunity to follow some of the most compelling wines from Australia.”
